Framing began in the Soucy family-owned business called Country Outlet, west of Duanesburg, NY back in the year 2000 by Kevin and Brenda Soucy, a husband and wife team. Over the years, the framing skills were learned and broadened through attending framing trade shows and seminars, many hours of reading and asking questions of the pros, and practicing the trade. While their children were school age, Brenda took a leave from the framing business to practice as a CPA in public accounting for thirteen years while Kevin continued in his framing business between school bus runs. In 2019, after the burnout of too many “tax seasons”, Brenda left public accounting for the love of doing something more creative. Truly Yours Custom Framing, Inc. was established in May of 2019 and the doors opened at the Burnt Hills, NY shop on October 1, 2019.
The Burnt Hills shop is managed and operated by Brenda with occasional help from Kevin who still takes part in some light production duties. The Duanesburg location has since closed, due to a change in property ownership and the loss of that space.
The Truly Yours team has, in the past, included two of the Soucy children from time to time; son Stephen and daughter Madison. Some part-time helpers occasionally jump in to help when it is busy. You may have met Elsa, Tami, or Maddie M while visiting our Burnt Hills location. Each has their own particular skill set and together make a great team!
